In the Backyard

Shane salvaged two rather large pieces of handmade lattice a few months ago. They are from the same job that provided our cherry trees. Currently, the lattice is painted blue (for now) and being stored in our garage. The reason I wanted Shane to save them is so that he can build an arbor or trellis for our backyard. I love them! Yes, another project on that forgotten to-do list.

I've got a really good idea of what I want him to build and what other materials we will need. It's just a matter of allocating the funds and having the time to complete it. Ours will not look like this picture, I just like thought this one was really cool. Right up my traditional and formal alley.

Last night, we sat on the patio and were talking about where to build it. The arbor or trellis will not be mobile, so we need to be sure.

Our plans are to place our new-old swing under it. The swing is old, but new to us. Its original color was green, but we are painting it a hammered brown. Almost done with that part.

There is no rush for this project other than reclaiming my parking spot.
